CUMBERLAND — Nina Elizabeth Beckman, 69, of Cumberland, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at the Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore.

Born on Dec. 23, 1943 in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Katherine (Burkhart) Montgomery. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Kathie Ann (O’Neal) Boggs; and brother, Paul Montgomery Jr.

Nina worked for the Allegany County Public School System in food service. She attended the Cumberland Gospel Hall Church. She loved helping at the church with their different church functions. Nina was a proud Christian and loved the Lord with all her heart. She also loved children and especially loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are her husband of 43 years, Carlton Beckman; her daughter/granddaughter, Audriana Beckman; her son, Michael Beckman; one sister, Ruthann Winebrenner and husband Charles; one grandson, Hunter Beckman; many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home P.A. (www.scarpellifh.com) Cresaptown, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Evangelist Bill Seal officiating.

Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
