George A MillerTAWAS CITY, Mich. — George Albert Miller Jr., 73, of Tawas City, formerly of Cumberland, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014 at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio with his wife and step-son at his side after a long battle with heart disease and diabetes. He will be greatly missed by family and friends for his huge heart, generosity and compassion for all.

He was the son of the late George Albert Miller Sr. and Mary (Mummert) Miller. He was also preceded in death by his twin brother at birth, Glenwood Miller; brother, Carl Miller; and brother-in-law, Delbert Markley.

George was a graduate of Fort Hill High School, class of 1961. He retired from Delphi in 1998 and was a member of United Auto Workers (UAW) Local 651. He was an avid model train collector and enjoyed doing wood working in his spare time.

George is survived by his wife, Jean (Ouillette) Miller; son, Todd Miller and wife Fay, Cumberland; three daughters, Tracy Hollis and husband, Mark of Hopkinsville, Ky., Tonya Yates and husband Elmer of Frostburg, and Tina Fields of Winchester, Va.; and step-son, Chris Ouillette of Tawas City; and his loyal dog, Scooter.

He also leaves behind two brothers, Eugene Miller and wife Lois, Cumberland, and Jim Miller and wife Ethel, Winchester; and a sister, Janetta Markley, Cumberland; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; and many other family and friends.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Family requests that donations can be made to the Cleveland Clinic Heart Center in Cleveland, Ohio, in memory of George.
