Deceased – Bonnie Carbaugh Tate

Bonnie Lee Tate, 72, of Terre Haute, IN passed away Sunday May 3, 2015 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born February 6, 1943 in Cumberland, Maryland to Ken Carbaugh and Ethyl Howser Carbaugh. She was a loving homemaker to her family and is survived by her husband of 49 years, Richard “Bud” Tate.
Other survives include her daughter, Lisa Mappes and her husband Brian of Tucson, Arizona; a son, Christian Tate and his wife Jodi of Terre Haute; a brother, Jim Carbaugh and his wife Gloria of Florida; and six grandchildren, Zachary, Dusty, Heidi, Sara, Madeline and Pearson. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Anna Betty Logsdon.
Bonnie was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church and was a volunteer in Terre Haute to The Historical Society and Regional Hospital and in Tucson she volunteered for Therapeutic Riding and the Reading Seed for the Children.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday May 7, 2015 in Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 645 Poplar Street with Pastor Jacob Sutton officiating. Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street.
